Amanda Willis

Amanda Willis

Amanda has worked as a human resource management and equity practitioner in the government and higher education sectors. She is a past National Convenor of the Equal Opportunity Practitioners In Higher Education Association (Australia and New Zealand), and was a part-time member of the Equal Opportunity Tribunal of Western Australia.  Amanda is a past national finalist nominated by the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency for the Diversity Leader for the Advancement of Women category of the EOWA Business Achievement Awards. 

Amanda holds qualifications in Human Resource Management.

Mel Henry

Manager, EESJ Projects, Curtin University Mel Henry

Mel is responsible for overseeing several diversity and inclusion projects at Curtin, including the development of associated institution-wide strategies/plans, pilot staff development opportunities, and management of the University's allocation of Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP) Funding.

Mel's experience spans well over a decade working within higher education across organisational development, student support and transition services, management, research and policy roles. She has also worked within government and provided online counselling services. Mel is published in the area of student equity support and online higher education. She is currently completing a PhD in Psychology from Edith Cowan University, which specialises in the online student experience. Mel holds a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. 

Dallas Magann

Dallas Magann

Dallas is a quiet extravert who brings her wealth of experience in people management and delivery of strategic projects to the equity and diversity portfolio. She is responsible for developing and updating inclusion and diversity strategy and policy, and monitoring and reporting against inclusion and diversity legislation, public policy, grants, strategy and policy.

Dallas believes in fairness and equity for all, and is driven by work that challenges her thinking and allows her to improve her skills while contributing to business success and the success of others.  She is focused on addressing equity and inclusion issues that impact the diverse community within the higher education sector and creating partnerships with other practitioners and leaders in the field.
