Employment of people from Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) groups at Curtin
Curtin promotes an organisational culture that values EEO, Affirmative Action, and Diversity, where the work environment is free from sexual, racial and disability harassment, and from unlawfully discriminatory employment practices against employees or potential employees.
Employment practices recognise, and where appropriate, include measures intended to achieve equlity of opportunity for people from EEO Target Groups (Indigenous Australian Peoples, People with Disabilities, People from Cultural and Linguistically Diverse Backgrounds and Women in Non-Traditional Areas).

Valuing Diversity and Affirmative Action provides strategies that can be used to increase equity and access for people from EEO target groups.
Work and Family
The University acknowledges that students and staff have family responsibilities, and sometimes need to bring children onto campus so has developed Children on Campus Procedures.
The University encourages a family friendly workplace, supported by the Certified Agreements, including clauses re job sharing, parental leave, home-based work and flexible working hours.
The University and Student Guild has a Child Care Centre on the Bentley campus as a service to students, staff and the community.
